How do I find the right workshop for me?

You will find that some courses focus on a specific topic, while others cover a broader range of issues for various grade levels. You can learn more about each workshop by referencing the workshop's online details page or brochure. Where are your workshops held?

Programs are held nationwide. Search our complete schedule by state or region to find the next workshop near you. We also offer on-site training services - you can bring our workshops to your school!

Where can I find details on the workshop location and times?

Finding more information is easy. When you search for a workshop, you'll find our “Get Details Section.” This section will provide key information relating to the workshop you are interested in. You'll be able to view the agenda, review the date of the program and even register!

Will I receive course materials?

Yes. You will receive an excellent reference manual written specifically to accompany each workshop you attend. These manuals serve as a valuable resource back in the classroom and are available when you check in at the workshop. Each course manual includes proven methods, strategies and activities you can use in your classroom immediately!

May I record the workshop?

We request your cooperation in not recording our programs. If you are interested in purchasing workshop materials, please check out the Classroom Resource Store or call us toll free at 1-800-931-9193.

Do you offer any special group discounts?

Yes, groups of 3 or more enrolling together save $10 on each registration.

What about lunch and parking?

Unless otherwise noted, lunch and parking are on your own. We select workshop locations that have eating establishments within the facility or nearby for your convenience.

What should I wear?

Business casual attire is appropriate. We recommend that you bring a light sweater or a jacket for extra comfort.

How late can I register for a workshop?

While pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee a seat, you may register at the door if space is available. If you have not pre-registered, please call our Customer Service Department the day before or check the current schedule on this website to confirm that there have been no schedule changes.

Do you ever cancel a workshop?

We make every effort to hold a workshop once the brochure is mailed. However, for reasons outside of our control, workshops may be canceled or rescheduled. When this happens, we will notify all of those who are pre-registered.

How do I obtain verification of attendance for meeting district and/or state requirements?

All attendees receive a personalized certificate of attendance at the end of the workshop which may be used to verify your participation.

Can I qualify for professional and continuing education credit by attending one of your workshops?

Yes, by attending any one-day workshop sponsored by Otter Creek Institute, you may earn semester hours from Chapman University  (Chapman details PDF) . For specific information regarding Chapman University and any state-specific credit available, we have a special section dedicated to answering all your credit questions. Select 'get details' when viewing our schedule to quickly obtain credit information for each course.

Can I obtain the Chapman University course title and course number for my workshop?

Yes. If your school district requires this information prior to your attending the workshop, you may contact our Customer Service Department. How will I confirm that you have received my online registration or product order?

At the end of your purchase, you will be presented with a detailed Confirmation page that you can print for reference. We also send order confirmation emails to the address(es) provided.

What is your workshop cancellation policy?

If your plans change and you can't attend the program, you may substitute another person at any time, transfer your registration to any future seminar or product purchase, or cancel your registration without penalty.
